  • To be assigned Preference you must attach a copy of ONE of the following items showing proof of residency and/or employment in the CIRHA service area:

     

    • A current lease
    • A current utility bill
    • A valid driver's license
    • a State issued ID
    • proof of current employment in CIRHA service area for any household member
       

    You may continue completing the application without providing proof of address, but being assigned a preference is important, so you should do so if you are able.

    1) You wish to receive rental assistance while renting from a private landlord (this might include the unit where you currently live if it meets Section 8 criteria).

    2) You wish to live in the counties of Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion or Story in any towns except Knoxville or Pella.

     

    Choose Owned Housing if:

    1) You would prefer to have CIRHA offer you an existing unit rather than having to find one yourself.  

    2) You are willing to live in the cities that we have units in (we do not own units in all of our service areas and cities).

    Central Iowa Regional Housing Authority (CIRHA) Establishes Email Communication and Online Form System for Information Acquisition

    In its ongoing efforts to streamline communication and enhance efficiency, the Central Iowa Regional Housing Authority (CIRHA) is pleased to announce that it will now correspond exclusively via email. Additionally, CIRHA has implemented an online form system for acquiring important information, further improving the accessibility and effectiveness of its services.

    Effective August 2023, all communication from CIRHA will be conducted through email communication only. This includes notifications, updates, inquiries, and other official communications related to housing programs, applications, and services.

    CIRHA understands the importance of modernizing its communication methods and ensuring accessibility for all its clients. To streamline the information acquisition process, CIRHA has introduced an online form system through which individuals can securely submit necessary information directly to the organization. This system is designed to simplify the process, reduce paperwork, and enhance the overall experience for clients.

    Please take note of the following:

    Email Address: Ensure that the email address provided to CIRHA is accurate and up-to-date. Any changes to your email address should be promptly communicated to CIRHA to avoid disruptions in communication.


    Online Form System: For the convenience of our clients, CIRHA's online form system allows individuals to submit required information securely. This system is accessible through our official website (www.cirhahome.org).


    Responsiveness: CIRHA is not responsible for any adverse consequences resulting from individuals failing to respond to emails or submitting information through the online form system in a timely manner.
